The North Carolina College Access Challenge Grant is funded by the U.S. Department of Education. Because NC CACG, in turn, funds over twenty college access projects on an annual basis, a logo helps to tie the projects to the funding source, even though the Program is not branded to the public, only to stakeholders and policymakers. The visual metaphor is the expansion of a small source in widening concentric circles, culminating in a mortarboard, much as the funded projects seek to expand individual empowerment through educational access. Three iterations of the logo satisfy a broad range of placements and uses.
